How to Connect with Like Minded Women

Sit with women who are committed to their personal growth. The conversation is different.

I have personally reached points in my life where I wanted change and/or more but I was surrounding myself with people that lived in the past, were comfortable constantly complaining about their lives but not doing anything to change it, and talking about the same old stories from (or worse other people) over and over and OVER again

  • Were they bad people? No

  • But did I want to be surrounded by only that all the time? Also no

  • Does this mean you have to cut these people out of your life? Again, that’s a no

If this is something you can relate to, you can break out of this cycle and expand your social circles.

  • I challenged myself to try new things, go new places, and meet new people

  • I did things by myself. Yes, this was SCARY at first

  • I asked strangers to grab coffee

  • I met women with incredible energy doing amazing things in their lives and followed them around like a puppy. Totally kidding! But I would attend their stuff and pay attention to what they were reading, listening to, etc

  • I listened to personal development podcasts and read books, articles, blogs

  • I searched for local events and made an effort to go and chat with strangers

This stuff is not easy! I fully recognize that any change probably seems hard and scary, but it’s ok to start small.

Maybe you start with a book or podcast or you find an event that a friend will try with you.

I’m still totally a work in progress and feel super awkward sometimes, but I truly think most everyone does!
