Top Tips for Creating a Balanced Life

Why is balance so difficult sometimes? I was just chatting with a friend about how it feels like everything seems to fall in the same weekend and then other weekends will be nearly empty.

For me, too much of anything (except maybe laughter and puppies) and I start to feel burned out. I need a variety of activities with some solo time sprinkled in to feel balanced and keep my energy high.

Here’s a few quick tips for creating a balanced life

  • Know what and who makes you happy and brings you joy, and be sure to include those things and those people in your daily life

  • Schedule a little bit of time for you each day. Yep, I said it – Every. Single. Day. It can be 10 minutes or 10 hours, but it needs to be just a few minutes of something that beings you happiness and peace – a morning quick, a 5 minute meditation or journaling, a workout, a dinner with friends. The options are endless

  • Get rid of time wasters that don’t bring you happiness. Are you endlessly scrolling social media, not really liking or excited about what you see? Unfollow the accounts that aren’t bringing you happiness or limit yourself to a specific number of minutes each day. Same goes for TV, emails, errands, etc
