How to Spring Clean your Social Media Habits

Love it or hate it, social media is a part of our daily lives. It can help us stay in touch and in the loop with friends and family, inspire us, and help us find new recipes or revive our style.

On the flip side, we may hit periods where scrolling social media becomes frustrating or makes us feel unworthy, unhappy, or inadequate.

How do you know it’s time for a social media clean up?

  • You’re spending lots of time scrolling and it’s not bringing you happiness, connection, or inspiration

  • You’re on social media when you should be doing other things

  • You’re scrolling, scrolling, scrolling and keeping yourself awake

So what can you do?

  • Set boundaries for yourself on when and/or how much time per day you spend scrolling

  • Stop following accounts or friends that make you feel bad about yourself

  • Stop following accounts or friends that don’t bring you happiness or inspiration

  • Stop following accounts that trigger you to play the comparison game (no one wins this game)

Bottom line is that IT IS OK to unfriend and unfollow!

Sending you lots of love,
